Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir

Founded in 1928...

Mae Croeso I Bawb - All Are Welcome

Joining the Choir

Like most choirs, large and small, we suffer from the problem of natural wastage -
people move, change jobs or their commitments change. Formed in 1928 the choir is larger than it has ever been, with over 50 choristers on the books, we are still on the look out for new members. We need to do this ensure the balance and style of the choir is always up to its usual high standard.

As a choir we aim:

• To achieve the highest possible standards in choral singing
• To produce and perform a balanced repertoire
• To assist with fund raising for local and other charities
• To promote personal development and comradeship.

If you have a love of music, and are prepared to give the commitment, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Contact our Secretary, whose address is below.

You DO NOT
- have to be Welsh or be able to speak Welsh
- have to be able to read music
- have to have a wonderful voice

YOU JUST NEED TO WANT
- to enjoy singing
- to be part of a team
- to have fun.

You bring yourself and your voice and we’ll do the rest.

We practice every Thursday evening from 7.30 - 9.30pm, with occasional extra rehearsals for special events. We meet at St Francis CE Primary School, Horspath Road,  Cowley,  Oxford.  OX4 2QT

If you would like to know more before committing why not come to a practice night. With no obligation, you can have a taste of what it feels like to sing and be part of the Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir.

For more information contact our Secretary, or just turn up to a rehearsal.
